This week we have had BEAUTIFUL weather here in Minnesota. Last night I had dinner with a friend and we were able to sit out on the patio! It was amazing, windy but amazing! All this beautiful weather has inspired me to pick up my old workout notes and take a look at what I can do at home since I don't have a gym that I go to anymore. My hope is that I can start with what I have, a small selection of weight, a step box, some bands, and a treadmill, and slowly add on to my "at home gym".
Let's set some goals for today. Are you going to take a walk for self care? Are you going to do a workout for your mental health? Are you going to do some strength training for weight loss and/or muscle building? Are you drinking your water for hydration? Find 2 or 3 things you want to accomplish today and let's "Fit It In"! Writing down your goals can be a great way to hold yourself accountable. Find a cute notebook and write it down, put it in your notes app on your phone, or find a food/water tracking app and log it there (I like MyFitnessPal).
So, where are you "Fitting in" your me time or workout time?
In case you need some inspiration, here is a little workout for you:
3 round of 10 reps each ( 3x10) squats
3x10 forward lunges, each side
3x10 arm curls (use weights, bands, cans of food, or just your body weight works if you are just starting out)
3x10 tricep extensions (use above options here as well)
3x10 push ups (from knees, regular, or elevate to a box, side of a couch, or even a wall if you are just starting out)
3x 20-30 second plank
