As I near that 40 year mark, I have been reflecting on who I am as a person. I have worn many hats in my years. I am a daughter and a sister. I am a mom and a bonus mom. I was a stay at home mom, part time working mom, single mom, full time working mom. I was a para-professional, a personal trainer, and a digital marketer. I am a senior customer service representative. But does any of that really define me as a person? All of it describes a part of me but all too often, it is how we define ourselves. At any point in time, I could be any number of those things, and more!

Martial artist. Crafter. Creator. Photographer. Writer. Cook.
Kind. Generous. Strong. Independent. Powerful.
Trusting. Reliable. Happy. Fierce.
The above words are the words I would use to describe myself. I wasn't always able to say these things about myself. There are definitely times that I would have described myself as alone, afraid, and torn apart. A lot years, time, therapy, and self searching has brought me to the place I am today. Now don't get me wrong, there are many days where I still work through the feelings of "Do I deserve to take up space?" "Am I allowed to exist in this space?".
Remember this: YOU ARE MORE THAN ONE THING. You are allowed to be who you want to be. You are allowed to take up space! Your presence is valuable and needed.
So, come on in. Sit on down. Grab a coffee (or tea). We sit as friends. I accept you for who you are.
See you soon!
Ali XOXO
