What a wonderful weekend we had! We got to have a little time with all six kiddos and a whole lot of time with 5 of them. As the kids grown up and start having jobs, more flexibility is needed with schedules. It isn't always easy but change never is. We spent time at the local pool and one of the nearby lakes; we spent time hanging out at home and at the fireworks and one of the kiddos even got to bring a friend with!

After we went to the oldest and longest parade in Minnesota, we got to do a first. We got to visit Brenna at one of her jobs! It is wonderful to see the kids growing up and finding their way.
As I reflect on all of the holidays that I have gotten to have with the kids, I realize how short of a time we have with them. Not every day is a walk in the park but every day is precious. Even if they are mad at you, show up. Even if you think they don't want you to, show up. Even if you are busy, show up. Soon they will be out on their own and doing their own thing.
